Modeling, simulation and software

This is a work area that includes various aspects of mathematical modeling, simulation, computing, and software development. It is a cross-disciplinary research area that, in addition to having its own objectives, maintains a close connection with the rest of the institute’s activities. Its goals include:

• Interdisciplinary mathematical modeling, fostering collaborations among researchers from different fields with the aim of creating new ideas with scientific and technological value
• Advanced computational methods for simulation in science and engineering
• Software development and implementation of solutions for problems related to physics and the aerospace sector, as well as knowledge transfer to tackle other challenges of societal interest
