Thematic areas

IFCAE’s research focuses on certain areas of physics and aerospace sciences, and especially on the search for synergies between them and with other related disciplines such as mathematics and computer engineering. Our activity has, therefore, a strong interdisciplinary character. We also seek a balance between basic and applied research. The scientific agenda is structured around five major interrelated research areas:

Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics

Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics

  • Computational fluid mechanics
  • Thermodynamics and molecular dynamics
  • Measurement techniques
  • Thermofluidodynamics,
  • etc.

Optical systems
